It
was confirmed on Friday that Matthew Bingley and Mark Milligan, two
Granville juniors who have starred on the world stage with Sydney FC, will
be bringing the Hyundai A-League trophy to the FOOTBALL PARRAMATTA SEASON
LAUNCH on March 24 at Belhaven Manor, Wentworthville.
“It
will be great to congratulate two of our own, and thank them for their
support of Football Parramatta” said Granville Association president
Daryl Verity.
Sydney
FC had a great season, winning the Oceania Club Championship and finishing
fifth in the World Club Championship, with the jewel in the crown being
their acquisition of the inaugural A-League trophy.
Bingley
is a former Merrylands junior, and records show that Milligan kicked off
his career with St. Johns Auburn.
“It
should be a great night” said Eagles boss Tony Azzopardi.
“Parramatta FC’s first grade will be there, and we are honoured to
have Craig Foster also as a special guest”
Verity
and Azzopardi will sign off on the historic “Football Parramatta
Accord” the working agreement bringing together the Parramatta FC Eagles
club, with the Granville and Districts Soccer Football Association.
